Festival Info

San Hejmo 2024 will take place in August 16-17, 2024 at Airport Weeze (NRW), Germany.

To enter San Hejmo you must be at least 18 years old. No exceptions due to safety reasons!

The line-up will be as various as the visitors of San Hejmo: Look forward to unique live concerts, popular artists from pop, hip-hop, electro, party music, art and culture.

You can find the current line-up here. More artists will be announced in the upcoming weeks and months!

Friday, 16 August 2024, 14:00h – 03:00h
Saturday, 17 August 2024, 14:00h – 03:00h

In order to get to the festival site you will need:

  1. San Hejmo ticket (e.g., 2-Day Ticket + Camping) as printed version or e-ticket. To ensure that everything works well when using an e-ticket, please make sure that you have downloaded your ticket in advance, that your phone battery is charged and that your ticket is clearly readable/scannable (e.g. in case of a damaged display).
  2. A valid identity card! Alternatively, a valid passport or driving license is also possible. A picture or a copy of your ID document is NOT enough! Expired ID documents or other documents (e.g. student ID, health insurance card, bank card, etc.) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!

NOTE: Since the San Hejmo tickets are personalized, only people whose name on the ticket (“ticket holder”) and the name on the ID document match will get access.

There are NO EXCEPTIONS!

Further information about personalization can be found in the ticket information.

Campers can commute back and forth between the camping area, festival grounds and parking lot at any time. All other visitors (day guests, etc.) are only allowed to enter and leave the festival grounds once per day and will not be allowed back in.

Payment is made with tokens at all food and drink stalls and almost all attractions at the San Hejmo Festival. The tokens are available at our token stands and can be paid in cash or with debit and credit cards. Tokens can only be exchanged at the staffed token stands on the festival grounds and the camping area (see map, which will be published shortly before the festival). Please note the posted opening times for exchanges. An exchange/return to San Hejmo 2024 is NOT possible!

ATTENTION: The return of the tokens is only possible upon presentation of the San Hejmo ticket. So be sure to download the e-ticket onto your smartphone!

A dime a dozen! A special feature of the San Hejmo Festival is our Street Food Festival. Diversity is very important here: In addition to typical and regional specialties, here you will find delicacies from a wide variety of origins. Good to know: Most of the dishes are vegetarian or vegan! If you’re more into the classics, you’ll find what you’re looking for at our food courts, where you’ll find typical party food such as fries, burgers and kebabs.

NOTE: You are not allowed to bring drinks or food from home. The only drinking vessel that you are allowed to take EMPTY onto the festival site is a foldable (plastic) drinking bottle with a capacity of up to 0.5 l. You will soon be able to purchase one of these again in our official San Hejmo merchandise shop.

Since your health is important to us, there are free drinking water tabs available for you to tap at several points on our festival site. The positions will be announced on the map shortly before the festival.

On the festival site and the campsite there will be lockers in two different sizes to store valuables.

  • Size M: 27cm x 23cm x 40cm; storage space for 2 – 3 summer jackets or a small backpack
  • Size L: 27cm x 37cm x 40cm; storage space for 3 – 5 summer jackets or a medium backpack

You can book the lockers as an add-on (as long as stocks last) in your personal MyTicket portal or on site (depending on availability).

NOTE: If you purchase an add-on on site, additional costs must be expected.

ATTENTION: The Locker can only be used during the opening hours of the festival site/camping area.

We will provide sufficient toilet areas (including barrier-free toilets) on our festival site. The use of all toilets is free. The toilet areas are well distributed, easily accessible to everyone and are cleaned several times a day. If fresh toilet paper is still needed or a toilet is dirty, please inform the cleaning team on site.

At a festival, internet and network availability is sometimes slightly limited. All internet and telecommunications providers will be on site to ensure you have optimal accessibility. There is free WiFi on the VIP deck for all VIP guests.

For medical emergencies of all kinds, paramedics and rescue workers are on site at any time. You can find the locations of the medical stations on our map, which we will publish shortly before the festival. All escape routes and emergency exits must be kept clear for emergency services at all times.

We do our best so that we can all experience a carefree festival together and celebrate with joy. Too much alcohol or illegal drugs can end the party quicker than we would like. Therefore, you should pay attention to yourself and your friends at check-in and not leave your drinks unattended. In addition, we have a zero-tolerance policy! Anyone caught with illegal drugs, e.g. during searches at the entrance or during controls at the festival, will be immediately handed over to the police and will not be allowed access to the festival.

It is strictly forbidden to spend the night in the parking lot (including in the cars!)!

ATTENTION: All vehicles that are still in the parking lot after the festival site closes on Sunday morning (18 August 2024) will be towed away for a fee.

At Lost & Found you can pick up your missing items and hand in the ones you find. All lost property will be handed over to the lost property office of the municipality of Weeze approximately one week after the San Hejmo Festival.

It is very important to us that all visitors feel comfortable and safe at San Hejmo. We would therefore like to draw your attention to the following:

  • Always look out for each other and help when you can.
  • Never leave your drinks unattended.
  • Always carry your personal and most important items (e.g. money, cell phone, ID card) with you.
  • Between all the festival hustle and bustle, don’t forget to drink and eat and approach alcohol responsibly.
  • Try to adapt your clothing to the current weather conditions.
  • If you have a problem, you can always contact our security staff, who are on the move throughout the festival grounds.
  • If you feel unwell, are injured or simply have a question about hygiene, you can contact our medical stations at any time. You can find these on the map that we upload shortly before the festival.
  • Activate push notifications in the app so that we can always reach you quickly in emergencies during the festival.
  • Check out our safety instructions, which you can find in our Festival Guide.
  • Pay attention to the instructions of security personnel, especially in emergencies such as evacuations.

We want you to enjoy music for a long time- so take care of your ears! Free earplugs are available for you at the Lost & Found office and at the Info Point.

Unfortunately we have no influence on the weather conditions. Therefore: check the weather forecast and pack appropriate clothing!

Especially in summer, the sun’s rays can be very intense and lead to sunburn/stings. Our advice: dress appropriately and protect yourself with sunscreen and a hat. In addition, heat and a lot of exercise put a lot of strain on your body, so you should definitely drink enough water and eat.
If we are facing a rainy festival weekend, a rain poncho and rubber boots should definitely be part of your festival luggage.

If there is a storm or a storm/thunderstorm, please note the following:
  • Stay calm, orient yourself and find a safe place early. Tents or pavilions are not safe shelter – but a car is. Be careful, help each other and offer other festival visitors shelter in your cars.
  • Avoid trees, pools and open fields.
  • Keep a distance (at least 1m) from metal poles, towers and pavilions.
  • Choose concrete and asphalt over lawns.
  • Seek out lower areas.
  • In an emergency: Squat down, put your feet close together and keep your distance from others.

At the entrance, security checks (including body and bag searches) are carried out by our security staff. Please be sure to only take what you need with you and open your bags for a quick search. The following items are prohibited on the festival site and will be collected and disposed of by security:

  • Generator sets and car batteries
  • All types of means of transport (exception: wheelchairs, walkers)
  • Corrosive, flammable or coloring substances (e.g. paint spray cans)
  • Banners, signs, symbols or leaflets of all kinds (signs supporting your favorite artist are of course excluded)
  • Drugs and intoxicants
  • Drones
  • Torches
  • Bottles, drinking backpacks, cans and Tetra Paks of all kinds (we have plenty of drinks at fair festival prices as well as free water stations on the festival site) (exception: empty foldable (plastic) drinking bottle with a capacity of up to 0.5 l)
  • Glass bottles/containers of all kinds (including perfumes, make-up, etc.)

Special Needs

Everyone should have the opportunity to visit our festival. That’s why we put in effort to ensure that visitors with disabilities can experience a unique and unforgettable festival visit.

Visitors with a severely disabled person’s ID card (notation “B”) can apply for a ticket for an accompanying person free of charge.

This is how it works:

  1. Buy a ticket in the desired category and personalize it with your name.
  2. Send us an email to hej@sanhejmo.com with the order number and a picture of your severely disabled person’s ID card to register your accompanying person.
  3. We will send you a free ticket in the appropriate category for your companion by email.

ATTENTION: This regulation applies exclusively to the following ticket categories:

  • 2-day ticket
  • 2-day ticket + camping
  • Friday ticket
  • Saturday ticket

Barrier-free toilets can be found in every hygiene area on the festival site. In order to avoid that the accessible toilets are used by all visitors, they are locked. The sanitary staff will open the doors for you. Just give them a heads up.

On the camping site, barrier-free toilets and showers can be found in selected hygiene areas (see map, which will be published shortly before the festival). As these are also closed, simply contact the sanitary staff.

NOTE: We try very hard to make the festival visit as pleasant as possible for all visitors. Please note, however, that the condition of some areas of the festival and camping site may vary depending on the weather, as not all areas are tarred or paved.

Of course you can bring medication with you to the festival. Please be sure to bring prescription medications in their original packaging along with a doctor’s note. Necessary cooling options for medication are available at the local medical stations.

Electric wheelchairs can be charged free of charge at the medical stations.

The platforms at Weeze train station are barrier-free. Shuttle buses to the festival site and the camping area, which are also wheelchair accessible, depart regularly from here. You can find more information about arriving by train here.

NOTE: A shuttle bus ticket for your companion is not included in the free ticket you received from us. This must be booked additionally.

We try to take everyone’s needs into account at our festival. That’s why we not only have a large selection of vegetarian and vegan foods, but also gluten- and lactose-free foods. Corresponding labels can be found on the menus of our food & drink stands on site. If you are unsure about the ingredients, do not hesitate to contact our staff. They are always happy to help you!

NOTE: If you do not have a certificate stating that you HAVE to bring certain foods with you, they will be taken from you during the checks.

General camping info

The San Hejmo Camping Area is open from Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 18, 2024, 3:00 p.m. Our camping area borders directly on the festival site, so you don’t have to worry about long walks. At the San Hejmo Festival you can choose between the Regular Camp, Green Camp, Friendship Camp and the Womo Camp. Information about the individual camps can be found here.

The best part:

All camps can visit each other at any time. There is only one rule: We respect each other and other camps’ rules.

IMPORTANT: Regardless of which camp you stay in, you always need the 2-Day Ticket + Camping and, if desired, simply book your Add-on for other camping kategories.

NOTE:

Vehicles are generally not allowed in our camping area. The only area in which vehicles or sleeping vehicles are permitted is the Womo Camp. You can find more information about this here.

Opening: Thursday, 15 August 2024, 10:00
Closing: Sunday, 18 August 2024, 15:00

All campers (exception: drivers and passengers of a sleeping vehicle) use the “Regular Camp” check-in.

To get to the San Hejmo Campsite you need:

  1. San Hejmo 2024 ticket (e.g. 2-day ticket + camping) in printed form or as an e-ticket. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, when using an e-ticket, please ensure that the ticket has been downloaded in advance, that your cell phone battery is sufficiently charged and that the ticket is clearly readable/scannable (e.g. in the case of a damaged display).
  2. A valid ID card. Alternatively, a valid passport or driving license is also possible. A picture or a copy of the ID document is NOT enough!

Expired identification documents or other documents (e.g. student ID, health insurance card, bank card, etc.) are NOT ACCEPTED!

NOTE: Since the San Hejmo tickets are personalized, only people whose name on the ticket (“ticket holder”) and the name on the identification document match are allowed entry.

There are NO EXCEPTIONS!

Further information about personalization can be found in the ticket information.

If you have booked an add-on, such as the Green Camp or Friendship Camp, please have your add-on ticket ready. Depending on the camp, you will receive an additional wristband, which gives you access to this camp. Be sure to follow the on-site signage to find the appropriate area on our campsite.

You can either order add-ons, such as the Green Camp, Friendshipcamp or park tickets, directly during the ordering process or book them at any time via the personal MyTicket portal. More information can be found here.

If you travel to San Hejmo by car as a camper, you must book the “Parking: Camping” parking ticket.

Pay with tokens everywhere in the camping area.

Of course, there are also shower and washing facilities for you in our camping area. In addition to the well-known festival washing troughs, there are numerous shower containers (including barrier-free showers). You can use the washing troughs (with drinking water) free of charge at any time. The shower stalls with warm water cost 1 token per visit (free for VIP visitors).

We will provide sufficient toilet areas (including barrier-free toilets) in our camping area. All toilet areas are positioned so that they are always within a few minutes walk. All toilets are free and are cleaned several times a day. If you still need fresh toilet paper or a toilet is dirty, please inform the on-site cleaning team.

You can find electricity in our camping area near the shower islands for blow-drying or shaving your hair. You can charge your smartphone at our charging stations using power banks. For this you have to bring your own charging cable.

ATTENTION: Power generators of all kinds (e.g. generators) as well as car batteries are NOT permitted in the Caming Area! Our security staff will also pay attention to this during check-in. If you would like to listen to music with your own speaker, please note the rules under “Music”.

NOTE: In the Womo Camp there is a power connection in every plot block. You can find more detailed information about this here.

The following points must be taken into account for grilling, cooking and fire:

  • The use of disposable/tripod grills and gas camping stoves is permitted in front of the tent but must be supervised at all times. NOTE: Gas grills are not permitted, even if they are used with a gas cartridge.
  • Gas camping stoves may only be used with gas cartridges (piercing and valve cartridges, such as the blue cartridges from the Campinggaz brand) with a maximum filling weight of 450 grams. Camping stoves using liquid fuel are not permitted.
  • The use of grills and gas stoves in the tent is strictly prohibited due to the risk of suffocation. ATTENTION DANGER TO LIFE!
  • The use of alcohol, gasoline or other flammable liquids is strictly prohibited. Only commercially available charcoal lighters may be used according to the instructions for use.
  • The grill must never burn or glow unattended.
  • If, for example, a storm is approaching, we will inform you in good time and, if necessary, have to ban grilling.
  • In the event of a fire, the security forces must be informed immediately.
  • Disposal of charcoal: The charcoal must neither be poured onto the lawn for burning nor disposed of in waste containers. There will be special charcoal/ash containers in which to dispose of it.
  • The use of open flames and the lighting of a campfire or open fire are strictly prohibited.

Bringing pyrotechnics is prohibited.

A festival lives from music. Of course you can play and listen to your own music in the camping area.

Please note, however, that no generators or car batteries are allowed. Smaller Bluetooth boxes are tolerated as long as they are powered by the original rechargeable batteries. No self-made additional batteries etc. may be used. Please also be considerate of all campers.

Various chill-out areas offer you numerous seating and relaxation options in the camping area.

A tent offers little protection against theft. Our tip: Only bring what you absolutely need – less is more! Always carry your valuables with you (be careful here too!) or leave them in one of our official lockers.

Clear announcement: Glass bottles and glass containers are prohibited due to the risk of injury! Thorough checks are carried out at check-in. Drinks and food can be brought in Tetrapaks, PET bottles or cans. Cosmetic items (e.g. perfume, deodorant, make-up) in glass containers are also prohibited and will be collected and disposed of by our security teams. Shishas are generally allowed, but only with an acrylic bowl.

NOTE: Collected glass bottles and glass containers will not be stored at the entrance and cannot be picked up at a later date.

Animals are wonderful, but they don’t belong in the San Hejmo Camping Area!

At the entrance, security checks (including body and bag searches) are carried out by our security staff. Please be sure to only take what you need with you and open your bags for a quick search. The following items are prohibited on the festival site and will be collected and disposed of by security:

  • Generator sets and car batteries
  • All types of means of transport (exception: wheelchairs, walkers; Camp “Womo Camp”: a sleeping vehicle and, if necessary, a towing car are permitted here)

Let’s work together to keep our camping area clean and leave it clean. Take only the essentials with you to our festival, throw your rubbish into the rubbish bins and containers and reuse your tent and pavilion.

The commercial collection of recyclables (especially returnable bottles, metals) is prohibited. Any violation of this ban may result in confiscation of the collected amount and immediate expulsion from the festival and camping grounds.
