Artur Bordalo (Lisbon, 1987) uses the artist name Bordalo II, which he chose as a tribute to his grandfather, the painter Real Bordalo, in order to promote a continuity and reinvention of his artistic legacy.
His youth took place between the hours spent in the studio of his grandfather Real Bordalo, who had an incessant passion for watercolors and oils and portrayed landscapes and typical scenes of the city, and the adventures around illegal graffiti in the underworld of the city of Lisbon.
He attended the Painting course at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon for eight years, without ever having completed it, but says that these years allowed him to discover sculpture, ceramics, and to experiment with a variety of materials that have distanced him from painting, which had taken him there in the first place.
The public space would become the chosen stage for his explorations of color and scale and the platform where he gradually transformed his habits and channeled his experiences in the construction and development of his artistic work, which is currently focused on questioning the materialistic and greedy society of which he is (also) part.
The excessive production and consumption of stuff, which results in the continuous production of “garbage” and consequently in the destruction of the Planet, are the central themes of his production. This “garbage” assumes itself as the unusual and unique raw material that Bordalo uses in the construction of small and large scale pieces that he has spread around the world and that, above all, intend to be the vehicle of a universal manifesto.
In 2001 Jasmin Siddiqui (*1981, GER/PAK) adopted the pseudonym HERA finding her own stylistic language within the international graffiti scene. In 2004 she merged her expressive spray painting technique and poetic messaging with the photorealistic work of Falk Lehmann aka. AKUT and traveled the world painting murals as the duo HERAKUT. Besides displaying her solo and collaborative artwork in gallery and museum exhibitions, she is passionate about stage- and costume design for a dancers and musicians. But most important to her is HERA´s steady involvement social projects utilizing the transformative quality of street art by taking art out of its academic white-cube and into an easily accessible everyday-life setting. This makes it an incomparably valuable source of inspiration – free food for thought.
Ardif is a parisian street artist.
During his architectural studies, he is interested in the aesthetics of buildings and machines at different scales. Today, his work explores the possible hybridizations between architecture / machine and nature. His series of "mechanimals" is the illustration of this graphic universe and is visible on the walls of the capital. The natural symmetry of the animal allows a composition that plays on the contrast of materials, scales and textures. This urban fauna comes to question us about the impact of the artificialisation of nature or, conversely, about the wild and primitive instinct we need to find in our urban life.

GITA KURDPOOR - THE ARTIST
Born in the Kurdish part of Iran, she grew up in a liberal household and was raised to be an independent and self-confident woman. There has always been a great interest in the beauty and difference of things . Her eye for the
particular and the special in the trivial was an essential reason for
Gita to devote herself entirely to her art. The artist is one of the women who also does not shy away from large projects on high walls. Her first mural was a huge challenge in any case, because she had been afraid of heights. She overcame that fear during her project at her first house wall in Berlin Spandau with a height of over 25 meters. She also overcame the fear of transferring a design from from a DINA4 page to such a different size since then.
Westermeier grew up as the older of two children in Erding, Germany. Fascinated by the colorful images on trains and by hip-hop culture, he painted his first graffiti in 1993 at the age of 12 at the Herzog-Tassilo-Realschule in Erding. At that time he used the pseudonym MONO. Through a joke dedicated to his stature, he adopted the pseudonym Woodland in 2004. The addition Mister/Mr. followed about two months later.
He completed his studies in graphic design in Munich from 2012 to 2014, after working for nine years as a trained retail salesman, but never saw any point in it. Since 2014 he has been working as a freelance artist worldwide.
Norm Abartig is a graffiti artist since 2001. He describes himself as a realist with a love for letters and as "dead thing lover".
Semor the mad one
Semor the mad one has been an active graffiti artist for more than 25 years, lives in Cologne and is now internationally active. He shows his skills at exhibitions and art events in Germany, Europe, the USA, Russia and Asia and is also happy to pass on his experience at workshops. His style is characterized by lettering - he combines letters with graphic elements and always remains experimental.
English and Chilean origins, SWALT is a graffiti artist based in Geneva, Switzerland. His style mixes graffiti flops and tags, a first image that gives an abstract street vandal scene which reminds him of the good old days of his spraycan debuts. He finishes his piece with a realistic black and white portrait reinforcing the contrast and shape of the final image, leaving the transparency of the first layers of tags on all the skin levels.
The Misfits Gang
The goal of ADULTREMIX was to develop something completely unique via the unique artistic technique of laserwriter hacking, in combination with stencils, transfers and other techniques.
ADULTREMIX creates a very own world with his art: a newly collaged world(order) of pop cultural symbols, images and signs of our time, which is visually aesthetically fascinating and at the same time a reflection of our society in terms of content, which stimulates reflection.
Art by Opus
Jens Lagemann aka ArtByOpus was born in 1983 in Leverkusen, Germany. In the late 90s he discovered his passion for graffiti and street art. His focus since early 2020 is black and white portraits with tile patterns, which are part of his signature style. He designs murals, canvases and cardboard art.
Banam has been drawing girls in his unmistakable style since 2013, which he elaborately digitizes and afterwards brings to the streets of the cities as pasteups. His passion for painting as well as experimenting on the piano in conjunction with electronic music has been a big part of his life since his youth. Since he will finish his studio this year after a long renovation period, we will surely see and hear more from him not only at the San Hejmo Festival.
DACO began to be interested in art in all its forms at a young age. He graduated from high school in 1999, majoring in applied arts, then graduated from art school in Nantes and then attended the Gobelins School. In the 90s, he started doing graffiti and classic lettering, flops and tags in wastelands, on trains, walls, in brownfields.... Quasi everywhere in France his spray artworks could be found.
Over the years, the style evolved and he was very quickly attracted to WildStyle (complex, almost illegible letter style). The orientation to an unstructured, fragmented style served to create a visual identity, a unique and recognizable graphic style. He then unfolded this identity with his animal series ""GRAFFAUNE"" in illustrations, a contraction of graffiti and fauna with geometric and colorful airs.
While studying Fine Arts, DACO became aware of the Russian Constructivism movement, which influenced his work more and more over the years. He uses graphic, abstract, dynamic and colorful illustrations with lines and planes to surprise and convey a positive and modern visual energy. Inspired by this, his second series, ""CONSTRUCTION"" appeared.
In recent years, he has participated in numerous projects: murals, festivals, paintings for individuals and businesses, partnerships with town halls in France and embassies, alliances and French institutes around the world (Sri Lanka, Portugal, Ireland, Tanzania, Greece, Spain, Czech Republic), paintings in schools, media libraries, paintings for social purposes in hospitals, special homes, window dressing in restaurants, boutiques, redevelopment of eco quarters, partnerships with clothing brands, auctions, workshops, etc.... He loves to share his passion because his work is part of an exchange process with humanity. For him it is of great importance that art is available in the city and for the city, adapting perfectly to the specific needs of the place.
He draws his inspiration mainly from the street. Being passionate about painting, graffiti, urban planning, illustration, architecture, typography, lettering of all kinds and travel, he has made painting his passion and profession.
Knitting and crocheting is the passion of the so-called Dorf Masche - this is not a single artist, but a whole group of 30 women and men from Neukirchen-Vluyn, who are between 55 and 95 years old. It's not about small things either, the projects have to be big! They show that age does not matter in community. They simply have fun and zest for life and design their projects with a lot of love and always a wink. The members of the Dorf Masche have been active for 10 years and have been awarded many prizes. They invite you to relax a bit, take a breath and take a different look at things.
Streetart, graffiti and all urban shit is Dropix's passion. He's a creative dude in his thirties and lives in Germany.
Without great technology he grew up in the 80s and has started drawing with 5 years already to put the world on paper as he saw it.
This is how his career started and watch out at what level he is nowadays!
Pierre Ow is a Brussels-based & self-taught multidisciplinary artist.
This self-called "creactive", born and raised between the graffiti scene and computer graphics, builds artworks from all sizes when he is not producing music or sharing deejay sets under his alias "Beat Brother".
Rich of 10 years training spraypainting, from letters to portraits, from walls to canvas, his art is now mixing graffiti art's balance and flow with the peaceful strength of geometry into abstract, clean and modern compositions.
After creating a geometric wood art concept called "Wood It Yourself" that he presented in 2018, he started 2020 unveiling a brand new wood canvas concept using lasercut technics mostly representing birds among vegetation. 2021 came with interactive video-enhanced painting and huge murals. A must see in his portfolio !
SÉBASTIEN THEYS is a self-taught graffiti artist who lives in Nivelles, Belgium. He paints an abstract and colorful universe inspired by urban art. Cartoon characters and black lines energetically break up his paintings and give a dynamic aspect to his work.
The colors that regularly appear in his artworks are mainly pink, yellow and blue. Each artwork is the result of an improvisation which allows him to express himself through paint splashes and characters directly coming from his childhood.
His abstract work offers the freedom of interpretation but also the possibility to lose one- self in the many colors used. He likes to think that his artworks are a journey inside himself, where the black line represents a timeline leaving many souvenirs behind.
Since 2007 the artist Philip Wallisfurth alias Senor Schnu is already on the road in Germany and the world.
His work covers a broad spectrum from classic paste-ups to moss graffiti, sculptures and paintings on canvas or house walls, in a style between comic and abstract, often with pop culture references. If his roots lie in street art, Wallisfurth's medium is above all the spray can. His style, however, is also characterized by his flexibility in terms of choice of materials and artistic expression: For example, he has been experimenting with impressive, anamorphic spatial installations for some time now.
He himself defines his style as an ambivalent mix of "dirty" graffiti or street art techniques and "clean" graphic elements as found in contemporary art. Another special feature is his use of colors, which live on strong contrasts and positive energy and trigger a feeling of "instant happiness" in the viewer. In general, it is important to him that the viewer can become a part of the artwork and interact with it, such as in an anamorphic room installation that can be entered or by identifying with characters like the happy laughing ice cream named Senor Schnu.
On the side, the artist organizes and curates projects known in and outside the scene, such as "Wandelism", "Hometown Berlin" or the Paste- Up- Festival Germany from the idea to the realization.
Philip Wallisfurth never stands still and is always looking for the next exciting project. For example, in fall 2019 he was part of the exhibition "Ride the Dragon" in Shanghai, organized and curated by the Skateboard Museum, with an anamorphic spatial installation. He also designed the facade of the Urban Nation Museum of Urban Contemporary Art in Berlin.
He can also count Porsche, Jack Daniels, Google and Vans among his clients, to name a few.
